I'm using Quicktime 10.10.5 to make screen recordings and a Zoom H4n USB mic for sound. Works like a charm, but in every recording, at some point, the audio becomes distorted... increasingly so as time goes on. Not a gradual change, either. I can stop the recording and begin anew and the same pattern re-occurs. Some of these recordings go an hour in length, and this version has no monitoring capabilities.

Dumped a lot of space from my start-up drive, no change. I run Adobe suite for video editing, and that crowds RAM sometimes, but usually that's not running. A shutdown/restart seems to make the distortion happen later in the recording, but it's still inevitable. Any thoughts?
